Friday= Kristy's Paper Piecing Party

October is Lara's month for Wombat Stew and she chose to make a little house quilt. The fabulous Kristy made the patterns which have little windows and doors perfect for fussy cutting. These little 6 1/2" blocks were very fun makes! Lara loves teapots and tea cups so there is a little mouse in this house serving up tea.

Since these are a quilt bee blocks this little house had to have a sewing machine and Lara loves  rabbits so there is a bunny in the other window.

Kristy  made the house patterns. I would like to make a house quilt one day, too.
For the last round of Wombat Stew, before I was a part of it,  Lara chose to do tea pots and tea cups. She had mentioned earlier in the year she would like to make a few more tea pots to finish that mini up. She wanted one with Liberyt-esque fabric.  Liberty prints are among my favorites and i have a few little pieces and this was the perfect project for a little Liberty. The handle is a shot cotton I ordered from Sew, Mama, Sew before they stopped selling fabric. Nicole recently made a star using some shot cottons and it made me want to use some too! Linking up with Kristy for her Friday Paper Piecing Party where she is always up to some quilty mischief of epic proportions!

  10. love the liberty teapot - I have a similar idea for a gift for a friend of mine - and to make it into a tea-cosy. She gave me some liberty scraps that her grandma gave her and asked me to make something special for her. Lucky me!!
